Silk scarf WHITE TREE of GONDOR - for commission!by ~MinkuLul

Hand painted silk scarf! I know I should put my scarfs in order but I couldn't ressist to show this one as soon as I made the picture! Oh it was such a fun to make and I wasn't sure till the end how will it look.
Recently I started reading Lord of the Rings again, it such a good book. Well, this pattern is (obviously) inspired by the White Tree of Gondor

Ooh, this is so lovely! I really love the detail in this, as a LoTRs fan myself, your scarves are a beautiful representation. Was this done with wax?

It was done with gutta and silk paint (it's something else, when you do textiles with wax you dye them, I painted mine)

You're welcome!Ah, I'll have to look into it, I study textiles at college, so I've done a bit of batik dying. Your work is really lovely and precise, I wondered how you could manage to get the trees so delicate.
